เชลล์สุดล้ำนำเทศกาล MAKE THE FUTURE มาจัดที่สิงคโปร์เป็นครั้งแรกในเอเชีย

• เชลล์เตรียมเปิดเทศกาล Make the Future ที่สิงคโปร์ 16-19 มีนาคมนี้ เน้นเสนอแนวคิดสุดล้ำนวัตกรรมด้านพลังงาน พร้อมเปิดเวทีร่วมค้นหาทางออกด้านพลังงานโลก
• การแข่งขันเชลล์ อีโค-มาราธอนประจำปี 2560 ในเทศกาล Make the Future นี้จะมีทีมนักศึกษาจากประเทศไทยและประเทศอื่นๆ รวมกว่า 120 ทีม เตรียมลงสนามแข่งเพื่อเฟ้นหาสุดยอดนักขับรถประหยัดน้ำมันระดับเอเชีย
• นักวิชาการ ผู้เชียวชาญด้านพลังงาน ผู้นำรุ่นใหม่ ตัวแทนจากภาครัฐ ตลอดจนผู้มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องจากแวดวงต่างๆ นับร้อยราย จะมาร่วมแสดงความคิดเห็น เพื่อหาแนวทางและกระตุ้นให้เกิดความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศ ในการรับมือกับความท้าทายด้านพลังงานที่จะเกิดขึ้นในอนาคตในงานประชุม Powering Progress Together

     เชลล์ เตรียมจัดเทศกาล Make the Future ครั้งแรกในเอเชียที่สิงคโปร์ เพื่อนำเสนอแนวคิดและนวัตกรรมสุดล้ำด้านพลังงาน รวมไปถึงการจัดเวทีพูดคุยและอภิปรายเพื่อร่วมกันหาแนวทางรับมือกับความท้าทายด้านพลังงานของโลก เปิดให้ประชาชนทั่วไปเข้าชมได้ฟรี โดยจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 16-19 มีนาคม 2560 ที่ Changi Exhibition Centre

    เทศกาล Make the Future ประเทศสิงคโปร์ประกอบด้วยนิทรรศการ interactive สามโซน ได้แก่ Our Energy Future, On the Move และ Live, Work, Play  โดยผู้เข้าชมนิทรรศการแต่ละโซนจะได้รับรู้ข้อมูลของสถานการณ์พลังงานในปัจจุบันและความเป็นไปได้ของพลังงานที่จะนำไปใช้ในอนาคต นับตั้งแต่พลังงานหมุนเวียน ไปจนถึงก๊าซธรรมชาติและเทคโนโลยีคาร์บอนต่ำ เป็นการเรียนรู้จากความคิดสุดล้ำที่เกิดขึ้นในทั่วเอเชีย และร่วมพูดคุยใกล้ชิดกับเซเลบริตี้ชื่อดังติดหน้าเวที

     กิจกรรมและประสบการณ์มากมายที่ผู้เข้าร่วมงานจะได้สัมผัส:

• เข้าชมการแข่งขัน เชลล์ อีโค-มาราธอน จากทีมนักเรียน นักศึกษากว่า 120 ทีม จากหลากหลายประเทศรวมถึงนักศึกษาไทยจำนวน 6 ทีมที่จะเข้าร่วมแข่งขันออกแบบและสร้างรถที่ประหยัดพลังงานมากที่สุด พร้อมลงสนามแข่งขันค้นหาสุดยอดนักขับรถประหยัดน้ำมันแห่งเอเชียอีกด้วย (Drivers’ World Championship Asia)
• สนุกสนานไปกับเครื่องกำเนิดพลังงาน Zorb ที่เปิดโอกาสให้ผู้เข้าชมร่วมกันแข่งขันสร้างพลังงานไฟฟ้าให้ได้มากที่สุดเพียงแค่เคลื่อนไหวร่างกาย
• รับชมสุดยอดนวัตกรรมประหยัดพลังงานกับ Shell Concept Car ที่มีการพัฒนาร่วมกับ Geo Technology และ Gordon Murray Design โดยตลอดอายุการใช้งาน จะช่วยลดการใช้พลังงานเชื้อเพลิงหลักถึงร้อยละ 34 ตลอดอายุการใช้งานเมื่อเทียบกับรถยนต์ซิตี้คาร์ทั่วไป  
• ร่วมสนุกกับการสร้างพลังงานผ่านเกมฟุตบอล โดยผู้เล่นเกมจะชาร์จเวลาจากการวิ่งไปบนแผ่น Pavegen (ซึ่งเป็นเทคโนโลยีในการสร้างพลังงานจากการเดินและวิ่ง) โดยต้องทำให้ได้เวลาที่มากที่สุดเพื่อใช้เวลาในการเตะฟุตบอลเข้าเป้าหมาย ผู้ชนะคือผู้ที่สามารถทำแต้มได้สูงสุดในระยะเวลาที่พวกเขาชาร์จขึ้นมาได้
• เพลิดเพลินไปกับการแสดงดนตรีโดยนักร้องชาวสิงคโปร์ พร้อมพบกับดาวรุ่งระดับเอเชียอย่าง Nathan Hartono รวมไปถึงวงดนตรีท้องถิ่นอย่าง Take Two และ Disco Hue
• พบกับการสาธิตนวัตกรรมใหม่อย่าง Gravity Light หลอดไฟฟ้าพลังงานจากแรงโน้มถ่วงของโลก พลังงานราคาถูกที่ทุกคนสามารถเป็นเจ้าของได้ เพื่อพัฒนาระดับคุณภาพชีวิตให้แก่ชุมชนที่ยากจนที่สุดในโลก

    Powering Progress Together เวทีสัมนาที่มีผู้เข้าร่วมประชุมกว่า 100 คนมาร่วมพูดคุยและหารือกันเกี่ยวกับ “Cleaner Energy Moves Asia” ซึ่งจัดขึ้นเป็นครั้งที่ 4 ในภูมิภาคเอเชีย เป็นการกระตุ้นความคิดและเปิดการเจรจาหารือ โดยเน้นประเด็นของเรื่องของอนาคตและวิกฤติในเอเชียเป็นหลัก พร้อมทั้งปรับสมดุลระหว่างเศรษฐกิจที่เติบโตอย่างรวดเร็ว กับความต้องการมีชีวิตที่ดีขึ้นและเพื่อให้โลกน่าอยู่ตลอดไป

เกี่ยวกับการแข่งขันเชลล์ อีโค-มาราธอน

     เชลล์ อีโค-มาราธอนเป็นเวทีการแข่งขันระดับโลกที่มีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัว ท้าทายให้นักเรียน นักศึกษาก้าวข้ามขีดจำกัดของการใช้พลังงานอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพบนท้องถนน การจัดการแข่งขันเชลล์ อีโค-มาราธอนมีขึ้นทั้งสิ้นสามเวทีตลอดทั้งปี คือ เอเชีย อเมริกา และยุโรป การแข่งขันเชลล์ อีโค-มาราธอนเป็นสนามทดลองให้นักเรียน นักศึกษาทดสอบการใช้งานยานพาหนะที่พวกเขาออกแบบและสร้างขึ้นเอง โดยมีเป้าหมายเพื่อสร้างแรงบันดาลใจให้คนรุ่นใหม่กลายเป็นนักวิทยาศาสตร์และวิศวกรในอนาคต

การแข่งขันเชลล์ อีโค-มาราธอนเริ่มขึ้นในปี พ.ศ. 2482 ที่ห้องปฏิบัติการด้านการวิจัยในสหรัฐอเมริกาโดยเป็นการแข่งขันระหว่างเพื่อนนักวิทยาศาสตร์ด้วยกัน เพื่อดูว่ารถของใครจะวิ่งไปได้ไกลที่สุดด้วยน้ำมันหนึ่งแกลลอน พ.ศ. 2528 การแข่งขันเชลล์ อีโค-มาราธอนที่เรารู้จักกันในวันนี้ได้ถือกำเนิดขึ้น ครั้งแรก ที่ประเทศฝรั่งเศส ต่อมาในเดือนเมษายนปี พ.ศ. 2550 ปฐมฤกษ์ของการแข่งขันเชลล์ อีโค-มาราธอน อเมริกา ได้เริ่มขึ้นที่ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกาและในปี พ.ศ. 2553 การแข่งขันเชลล์ อีโค-มาราธอน เอเชียได้เริ่มขึ้นเป็นครั้งแรกที่ประเทศมาเลเซีย ซึ่งเป็นเจ้าภาพการแข่งขันเชลล์ อีโค-มาราธอนจนถึงปี พ.ศ. 2556 และในปีพ.ศ. 2557 - 2559 การแข่งขันจัดขึ้นขึ้นที่กรุงมะนิลา ประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ และกำลังจะจัดขึ้นที่ประเทศสิงคโปร์เป็นครั้งแรกในฐานะส่วนหนึ่งของเทศกาล Make the Future ในปี พ.ศ. 2560

เกี่ยวกับสุดยอดนักขับรถประหยัดน้ำมันระดับเอเชีย Drivers’ World Championship Asia

สุดยอดนักขับรถประหยัดน้ำมันระดับเอเชีย (DWC) จะเปิดตัวเป็นครั้งแรกที่เทศกาล Make The Future ที่ประเทศสิงคโปร์ ท้าทายนักเรียนที่เข้าร่วมแข่งขันเพื่อค้นหาว่าใครคือสุดยอดนักขับรถประหยัดพลังงาน

โดยหลังจากการประกาศผลความสำเร็จของการแข่งขันเชลล์ อีโค-มาราธอน ผู้ชนะทั้ง 4 ทีมจากแต่ละประเภทใน Urban Concept ประเภทพลังงาน  Internal combustion Hydrogen fuel cell และ Battery electric จะได้รับเชิญให้ไปแข่งขันใน DWC ระดับเอเชียที่จะจัดขึ้นในวันสุดท้ายของการจัดงาน

• ในการแข่งขัน  DWC ระดับเอเชีย ทีมที่มีคุณสมบัติเพียบพร้อมทั้งหมด 8 ทีมจาก 12 ทีมจะได้เข้าสู่การทดสอบการจับเวลาแบบบุคคล

• ในรอบนี้ ทุกทีมจะได้รับปริมาณพลังงานตามระยะทางที่ทำได้ในรอบสุดท้าย (คงไว้ซึ่ง handicapping concept)
• รถคันแรกที่เข้าเส้นชัยหลังจากวิ่งครบตามรอบที่กำหนดจะเป็นผู้ชนะและรับตำแหน่ง “สุดยอดนักขับรถประหยัดน้ำมันระดับเอเชีย” (Drivers’ World Championship Asia)

สามทีมผู้ชนะจากเทศกาล Make the Future ประเทศสิงคโปร์ พร้อมกับผู้ชนะอีกสามทีมจาก Make the Future ที่เมืองดีทรอยต์ และ Make the Future ที่กรุงลอนดอน จะได้รับเชิญให้เข้าร่วมแข่งขันรอบชิงชนะเลิศของการค้นหาสุดยอดนักขับรถประหยัดน้ำมันระดับเอเชีย Drivers’ World Championship Asia ที่จะจัดขึ้นในเทศกาล Make the Future ณ กรุงลอนดอน โดยเทศกาล Make the Future มีผู้สนับสนุนระดับโลก 5 รายได้แก่
