ข้ามขีดจำกัดการสร้างสรรค์นวัตกรรมประหยัดพลังงาน ด้วยสุดยอดไอเดียฝีมือนักศึกษา ณ งาน MAKE THE FUTURE สิงคโปร์
เปิดตัวแล้วอย่างเป็นทางการพร้อมเริ่มต้นการแข่งขันเชลล์ อีโค-มาราธอน เอเชีย 2017 เปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษาแสดงความสามารถในการออกแบบและสร้างสรรค์ยานยนต์เพื่อการประหยัดพลังงานที่ดีที่สุดในเอเชีย
ยานยนต์ประหยัดพลังงานจากผลงานของนักศึกษา 20 ประเทศทั่วเอเชีย ในการแข่งขันเชลล์ อีโค-มาราธอน เอเชีย ครั้งที่ 8
Make the Future จัดขึ้นเป็นครั้งแรกที่ประเทศสิงคโปร์ เป็นการรวบรวมนวัตกรรมและความคิดใหม่ๆ ที่เกิดขึ้นในทวีปเอเชีย ล่าสุดมีพิธีเปิดอย่างเป็นทางการไปแล้วที่ Changi Exhibition Centre เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ผ่านมา โดยมีทีมนักศึกษาทั้งหมด 123 ทีม จาก 20 ประเทศทั่วเอเชียเข้าร่วมงาน เพื่อแสดงนวัตกรรมด้านการประหยัดพลังงาน กับผลงานการสร้างสรรค์รถยนต์ที่ออกแบบมาจากแนวคิดเพื่อการใช้พลังงานอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ในกิจกรรมการแข่งขันเชลล์อีโค-มาราธอน ครั้งที่8 ได้รับการต้อนรับจาก มร. เตียว ชี เฮน รองนายกรัฐมนตรีประเทศสิงคโปร์ มร. จอห์น แอ็บบอท กรรมการบริหารและผู้อำนวยการธุรกิจดาวน์สตรีม รอยัล ดัชท์ เชลล์ และ คุณ. โก๊ะ สวี เชน ประธานกรรมการ เชลล์ ประเทศสิงคโปร์
Make the Future กิจกรรมที่มุ่งนำเสนอแนวคิดและสุดยอดนวัตกรรมล้ำสมัยด้านพลังงาน ด้วยความคิดริเริ่มของเชลล์ซึงมีการจัดงานนี้ขึ้นทังในทวีปเอเชีย อเมริกา และยุโรป โดยในทวีปเอเชียมีทีมนักศึกษาเข้าร่วมมากที่สุดถึง20 ประเทศ หรือคิดเป็น 60% ของจำนวนประชากรทั่วโลก
การแข่งขันเชลล์ อีโค-มาราธอน เอเชียจัดขึ้นเป็นประจำปีละครั้ง เพื่อท้าทายทีมนักศึกษาให้สร้างสรรค์นวัตกรรมยานยนต์เพื่อการใช้พลังงานอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ปีนี้มีทีมนักศึกษาเข้าร่วมการแข่งขันทั้งสิ้น 123 ทีมจาก 20 ประเทศ การแข่งขันแบ่งเป็น 2 ประเภท คือ ประเภท Prototype รถต้นแบบแห่งอนาคต มีรูปทรงเพรียวลม และ ประเภท Urban Concept รถยนต์รูปแบบเหมือนการใช้งานจริงในปัจจุบัน คำนึงการใช้งานจริงบนท้องถนน แบ่งตามประเภทเชื้อเพลิง คือ Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) ใช้เชื้อเพลิง เบนซิน ดีเซล และ เอทธานอล (ไบโอฟิล) , Gas to Liquid (GTL) และ CNG (compressed natural gas) ปีนี้มีทีมจากประเทศนิวซีแลนด์เข้าร่วมการแข่งขันเป็นครั้งแรกในประวัติศาสตร์อีกด้วย
ทีมนักศึกษาจากประเทศไทยทั้งสิ้น 6 ทีมจากมหาวิทยาลัยชื่อดัง คือ มหาวิทยาลัยธุรกิจบัณฑิตย์ สถาบันเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าคุณทหารลาดกระบัง มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏนครศรีธรรมราช มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลพระนคร และวิทยาลัยเทคนิคสกลนคร เข้าร่วมการแข่งขันครั้งนี้ เพื่อหาว่าทีมใดจะทำสถิติวิ่งได้ไกลที่สุดจากการใช้พลังงานเทียบเท่าน้ำมัน 1 ลิตร และเป็นรถทีใช้พลังงานอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพมากที่สุดในเอเชีย
รถทุกคันจะต้องผ่านการทดสอบทางเทคนิคด้านความปลอดภัยก่อนที่จะได้รับอนุญาตให้เข้าสู่การแข่งขัน โดยล่าสุดมีทีมนักศึกษากว่า 76 ทีมที่ผ่านการทดสอบทางเทคนิคด้านความปลอดภัยนี้
ในวันสุดท้ายของงาน Make the Future สิงคโปร์ ประจำปี 2017 ในการแข่งขันเชลล์ อีโค-มาราธอน เอเชีย เราจะได้เห็นการแข่งขันเพื่อหาทีมที่ทำสถิติการวิ่งได้ไกลที่สุดของรถ Prototype ตามด้วยการแข่งขันค้นหาสุดยอดนักขับรถประหยัดน้ำมันระดับเอเชียเป็นครั้งแรก จากประเภท UrbanConcept และปิดฉากการแข่งขันลงด้วยพิธีมอบรางวัล “Driver’s World Championship Asia ให้กับผู้ชนะจากการแข่งขันจาก เชลล์ อีโค-มาราธอน 2017 และผู้ชนะจากรางวัลด้านการสื่อสาร การออกแบบยานพาหนะ นวัตกรรมทางเทคนิค ความปลอดภัย และ ความพยายามและสปิริตจากการแข่งขัน ผู้ชนะจาก Driver’s World Championship ของแต่ละทวีปจะได้ไปแข่งเพื่อหาสุดยอด นักขับประหยัดน้ำมันโลกที่กรุงลอนดอนในวันที่ 28 พฤษภาคม 2560 นี้

และผลการแข่งขัน สำหรับประเภท Urban Concept ที่มีทีมนักศึกษาจาก 52 ทีมทั่วเอเชีย ลงแข่งขันด้วยรถยนต์รูปแบบที่เหมือนการใช้งานจริงในปัจจุบัน ที่ออกแบบมาให้วิ่งได้ไกลที่สุด โดยใช้พลังงานเทียบเท่าน้ำมัน 1 ลิตร ทีมนักศึกษาจากทีม Sadewa จาก Universitas Indonesia คว้าชัยชนะอันทรงเกียรติกลับบ้านด้วยสถิติ 375 กม.ต่อ 1 ลิตรจากประเภท Internal Combustion Engine สร้างสถิติใหม่ของประเภท UrbanConcept ในเอเชีย และทีม LH-EST จาก Hong University จากเวียดนาม คว้าชัยชนะจาก Battery Electric ด้วยสถิติ 107.8 กม.ต่อ 1 ลิตร ซึ่ง 4 ทีมที่ได้คะแนนสูงสุดจากแต่ละรูปแบบพลังงานในประเภท UrbanConcept (internal combustion, hydrogen fuel cell, battery electric) จะได้เข้าร่วมการค้นหาสุดยอดนักขับรถประหยัดน้ำมันระดับเอเชีย
Make the Future สิงคโปร์ ยังช่วยส่งเสริมนวัตกรรมและความคิดสร้างสรรค์ให้กับผู้ประกอบการรุ่นใหม่โดยให้มีโอกาสเข้าร่วมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของโครงการ Shell Accelerator เพื่อช่วยจุดประกายผู้ประกอบการ ในการนำความคิดสุดล้ำด้านพลังงานมาพัฒนาเพื่อให้ทำให้เกิดเป็นธุรกิจและสามารถนำไปใช้งานได้จริงทั่วเอเชีย

Shell Eco-marathon is a unique, global competition that challenges students to push the boundaries of energy efficiency on the road. There are three Shell Eco-marathon competitions held throughout the year in Asia, America and Europe. The competition provides an arena for students to test vehicles they design and build themselves.
